Mother's Day Weekend, 12May2019

Luckily, Max's birthday and Veronica's yearly dance recital always fall in early May. This means my mother us also around for Mother's Day, which is fantastic! I took my mom and Veronica to the nail salon to start the weekend on Friday afternoon. On Saturday we had baseball and soccer for the kids, then Adrian's slow-smoked ribs for dinner (yum!). On Sunday, we took the kids to their first game at Fenway Park. It was wet, but the rain did not dampen our spirits, or our appetites! After the game, we all went to Legal Seafoods for some oysters and fish. When we got home, we toasted with some champagne!

Max's 7th Birthday Weekend, 4-8May2019

Max's birthday fell on the same weekend as Veronica's ballet recital. It was quite a full weekend! On Saturday, after two soccer games (one for each), a baseball game for Max, and before Veronica's dance recital that evening, we celebrated Max's birthday at our local favorite restaurant, TWK. On Sunday, he had a laser tag birthday party. As when Veronica had her laser tag birthday party a few years ago, I'm pretty sure the adults had more fun than the kids, especially Tito Erik and Gramps! After the party, Max and Veronica enjoyed Max's new Nintendo Switch, and we celebrated Lola's birthday with a cake. One of Max's favorite gifts was a Messi uniform from the Johnson twins. To cap off a pretty amazing birthday weekend, Adrian took Max to his first Celtics game!

Early May 2019

Some months are so full of activities, I need to group the photos into half months! In Early May, our activities were:
* Kidstock theater performance at Kids' Corner: both kids participated in a play/musical that they put together at their after school program. The video of the performance is near the end of the performance group of photos.
* more Spring soccer for the kids
* Spring baseball for Max, including his portrait and team photo
* Max earning his purple belt in karate: check out two videos, one of him performing his "forms", the other of him breaking two wood boards with his fist (Please ignore that his gi {karate uniform} is entirely too short! He got it in kindergarten.)
* Veronica in a performance of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone at Kids' Corner. She and her friends were so excited about this and worked so hard on their performances (some doing English accents!) and costumes and set design. Veronica played Prof. McGonagall. The video of the performance is at the end of that group of photos.
* the photos at the end of album were taken by Gramps. Thanks, Gramps!
