Hi Everyone
We had a great time on our duck walk this morning. When I told the children we were going to look for ducks today they were so excited! We lucked out and saw two ducks! One in the water and the other sitting on a big rock. The children decided that the one in the water was the "Daddy" and he was looking for food for the "Mommy" who sitting on their eggs.
Have a great weekend!
Claudia

Hello, Preschool Families!

Attached is a PowerPoint, depicting our activities from today. This
week, we are continuing with our Spring Weather theme. During circle,
the children helped contribute their ideas to make a web map about
thunder and lightning. They theorized about where they thought the
electricity in the sky came from and also why thunder is so loud! We
also recited the poem we are learning, entitled "Rain." The majority
of our rain-based activities today focused on fine motor and eye-hand
coordination building. Enjoy the pictures!

Love,
Vanessa and the Preschool Team

Lazy Sunday: Snow, Capiz, and Ribs!

This morning Adrian and I woke up to this outside our window. A lot of it melted during the day, there is none left on the sidewalks and driveway. Unfortunately, we're supposed to get more snow tomorrow! Fingers crossed we won't get a lot.

Handy Adrian installed the light fixture in our master bedroom. It is a gigantic 22-inch diameter capiz ball. How do you like it? The ceiling at that point in our bedroom is 10 feet, so I was a bit worried about him falling off the ladder. He installed it like a champ, though! (Through the windows you can see some of the snow left in our neighbor's backyard around late afternoon.)

Here it is with the light turned off. Pretty, isn't it?

While Adrian was being handy with the light fixture, he was smoking some ribs in the Big Green Egg. They are delicious and the kids love them!

I hope your Sundays have been great. The kids got to watch a movie so they're pretty happy. Here's hoping we don't get too much snow tomorrow. But if we do, we'll have plenty of ribs!
