Hello Preschool Families,
Today during circle we predicted different types of fall things we would see on our walk.
Here is what we came up with:
Branches
Yellow leaves
Brown leaves
Orange leaves
Crunchy leaves
Acorns
Leaves on the ground

Attached you will find pictures of all of the things that we found! The children were so excited to point everything out, especially when their predictions were correct!
Attached you will also find pictures of friends on the rope; AS WELL AS a surprise that we found on the walk! This wasn't on our list, however we found pumpkins!!

Today's activity fostered cognitive, language, science, and gross motor development.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hello Preschool Families,
Today we continued our conversation surrounding autumn. We talked about different types of foods that get harvest during this time. We talked mainly about corn and cornfields and read the book The Silly Scarecrow. After circle we shucked corn as an activity. This activity helped foster fine motor and cognitive development. The children absolutely loved this activity and we are going to eat it for snack!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend,
Aisha

Hello Families,
Today in preschool, we focused our circle around the letter of the week [ E ] as well as pumpkins.

Before any clues, I asked the children to think of words that they already knew that began with E. Together we came up with this list:
Elephant
Egg
Eric
Ethan
Ear
Eat

Afterwards I asked if anyone had ever been to a pumpkin patch. We talked about what a pumpkin patch was, where we find them, and what they're for. Activities after circle surrounded what we talked about. In the pictures attached you will find:
·         children gluing Eric U, Eric N, and Ethan onto the letter E
·         Observing a pumpkin with a magnifying glass and writing down observations
·         Lucas K reading "Too Many Pumpkins" to his friends.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hello Parents,

Today the children made leaf collages! They each got to place different color leaves on construction paper.  When the collages were all finished we named all the colors on each leaf! This activity helped strengthen fine-motor and cognitive skills.

Thanks,
