Veronica's Ballet Recital & Lola's Birthday 1-5May2016
The first weekend of May 2016 was jam-packed with activities. On Friday, Veronica had her dress rehearsal for her ballet recital. Grandmom, Ninang, Lola and Gramps all came to visit to see the ballet recital. On Saturday, Veronica's after school program hosted a dance for charity, and on Sunday was Veronica's actual ballet recital. Veronica is very lucky to have so many loving relatives that travel to Boston just to see her dance in her ballet recital. Lola even came all the way from Manila! The week ended with a dinner celebration of Lola's birthday. The next day Ninong, Tita Erik and Charlie arrived for Max's birthday weekend, but that is another blog post!

Hi Everyone!
We've had a busy day in preschool! We worked on all things construction from wrecking balls to dump trucks and diggers in cornmeal. Today during circle we discussed different construction vehicles and tools and the job they do. We also read: Digger and Tom. After circle we were very busy with the wrenches and bolts, filling dump trucks and diggers with cornmeal, coloring construction site pictures, smashing down buildings with wrecking balls, putting together a construction site floor puzzle, and a gluing and matching tools collage.

Subject: Powerpoint of today's activities
Hello, Preschool parents!
Here is a power point of today's construction-themed activities. The children are really enjoying getting their hands dirty, loading dirt into trucks in the sensory table and have also been coming up with some brilliant design plans for houses, playgrounds and airplanes. They have also been pointing out different types of work trucks as they see them from the playground and while looking out the classroom window. Today, we had fun designing and creating things with popsicle sticks. The best investment you can make for your child is in a box of popsicle sticks and some glue.... The possibility for creativity is endless!
Enjoy!

March & Easter 2016
Activities in March included a last play date with the Zoepfs (before they, sadly, moved to California in April), checking out the Boston Fire Museum as a possible birthday party location for Max in May, Veronica's first kindergarten progress report (not quite a report card at this age), random photos of the kids at restaurants and furniture stores, a friend's gymnastics birthday party, a Boston Fil-Am Book Club meeting, and Easter egg hunt and egg coloring festivities!
