Jacob's 2nd Birthday Party at The New England Aquarium 07Jun2014

Max's classmate Jacob turned 2 at the end of May. His family invited us to the Aquarium and we all had a marvelous time.

We had a lot of fun getting messy with a few transportation themed art activities. On Tuesday we dipped some wheels in brown paint to make wheel outlines on a piece of paper. Today we all worked together to paint a big blue airplane that we will be hanging in the classroom. Have a wonderful day.

Today we have been very busy planting different types of seeds.  This morning we were given the choice of planting radishes, zinnias, or wildflower seeds. After each child chose their seeds they picked them up and stuck them into the dirt. We will be placing our seeds near the window and giving them lots of love, sunlight, and water so they will grow!

Hello everyone,

We have been very working on our fine motor skills with some bug art activities. We used our fine motor skills to rub crayons over bug stencils to make pictures appear on a piece of paper. We also use dour fine motor skills to grasp bingo dobbers and stamp them to make some beautiful butterflies.

Oliver's 2nd Birthday Party

One of Max's classmates, Oliver, celebrated his 2nd birthday at the end of May. He is only 2 weeks younger than Max. Oliver's sister Mia is Veronica's classmate, and Mia is only 6 days older than Veronica. That means it's a double play date when we get together with them and all the kids get along very well. Here are a few photos from Oliver's birthday party.

Fantastic lobster salad

TSC Field Trip: Cambridge DPW Vehicle Show

Our daycare went on a field trip to the Cambridge Department of Public Works Vehicle Show in mid-May. Adrian and I took a couple of hours off from work to go with them. The kids loved being able to climb into the driver's seat of all the different kinds of vehicles. The enjoyed trying to press all the buttons and push all the levers. It was a nice walk to and from the vehicle show. The weather was fantastic and it was fun to play hooky for a bit in the spring sunshine with the kids.
