Houston Trip: March 2012

You've already seen some of the photos we took on our recent trip to Houston. Here are a few more from my phone and Jose's phone. Jose was kind enough to come to Boston first so he could accompany us on the plane. He was a HUGE help with Veronica and all the STUFF that we brought with us, most particularly Veronica's colossal car seat. Anyway, I still have a bunch of photos on my digital camera, but here are a few from my and Jose's phones.

Spring Has Sprung!

We are enjoying unseasonably warm weather in Boston right now. Today may be the first day of Spring, but it sure feels like the first day of Summer. It's in the 70s today and it's supposed to hit 85 on Thursday. That is incredible considering the average temperature for this time of year is about 45. We had a lovely brunch last Sunday with Gramps, then we hit the local playground, and then our neighborhood Starbucks.

 

 

 

Veronica's First Haircut (not given by Mama)

Since we'll be going to Houston soon for a wedding, I figured I should take Veronica into a salon to get a real haircut. I have been cutting her hair (mostly her bangs) since birth and I wondered if I had totally been butchering it. These are the photos I took during the cut. She even got her hair shampooed. She was so good, sitting very still in the chair and not complaining or crying one bit. She even smiled a few times.

It turns out, I do just as good a job at cutting her hair as the professionals. Except they're a lot faster than I am, which is a plus.

My stepdad Ian came for a visit last weekend and here are a few photos that he took. He took a couple of great photos of Veronica. You can't see the baby bump, but I'm almost 34 weeks pregnant in the photo. The due date is getting closer!

Veronica felt the baby kicking a few days ago (really good, strong kicks) and since then she's been saying, "I have a baby in my belly, just like Mommy!" followed by "The baby's kickin' in my belly, see?"
