Today at IP, Max's class (Binhi) learned the Bahay Kubo song about the Filipino words for different vegetables. Here is a video:
Max enjoyed it, but after the song he came to me a bit sad, gave me a hug, and said, "This song makes me miss Lola because she sings it to us."
So sweet.

I am so glad the kids have this resource available here. Jose and I and our few Filipino friends growing up would've loved to have something like this.
Max was running a fever this morning so he got to have a sick day with Mommy. After dropping Ate off at school this morning we went to Starbucks for Mommy coffee and Dunkin Donuts for a sick day donut for Max. Before going home we stopped by CVS for some Airborne and Zicam (because ohmygod it seems like someone has been sick in this house every day for the last 2 months). I bought Max an overpriced Avengers coloring book because he's sick. At least I thought it was overpriced at the time. This thing comes with an app that you can download! It turns Max's coloring into a 4D "experience". Check it out. Here is his coloring:

The Volpe Center recently welcomed a new director, Anne Aylward. All of the rooms at TSC welcomed her with little notes. I've attached the one from Pre-K/Preschool. Max is one of the photos.
