It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I love that the house smells like Christmas tree now.

Halloween 2016

Halloween festivities began with window painting sponsored by the town recreation center, then a Halloween party at Veronica's ballet school, our town's Halloween Parade and trick-or-treating at the local businesses in the Town Center, a Halloween party at a friend's house, pumpkin carving, a Halloween concert by the 1st graders at Veronica's school, and, finally, trick-or-treating with Ninong (3 wizards and 2 super heroes)!

October 2016

October brought the beginning of the Iskwelahang Pilipino (Filipino School) school year, Halloween preparations (picking out pumpkins and a haunted maze), Veronica's first homework assignment, Veronica's school photo, a visit from Lilong, Penny's birthday party, and Max as Star of the Week in pre-K. Apple Picking with the Buddes 10Oct2016

Apple picking is a lovely fall New England tradition. This past October we spent Indigenous People's Day (formerly known as Columbus Day) picking apples with our friends the Buddes. It was a gorgeous sunny day and we stuffed ourselves with freshly picked apples and apple cider doughnuts. The half bushel of apples that we picked lasted all the way through to the end of November!

September 2016

In September, Max transitioned from preschool to pre-kindergarten. September also brought the end of an era. Both kids decided they wanted their separate bedrooms, so we moved Max out and into his own room. They both even made signs to keep each other out! Now the space underneath Veronica's bed was vacant, so we turned it into the Cozy Corner. The plan is to buy Max the same bed for his room when he outgrows his toddler bed (which will be soon!) so he can have his own Cozy Corner. We visited the carousel on the Greenway and there are also a few videos of the kids singing/dancing/goofing around. Click here to see all of the photos and videos from September. Enjoy!
