Veronica Turns Seven!

Veronica turned 7 during the first week of school this year. Gramps, Grandmom and Ninong all came to visit for her birthday festivities. Even though we don't live in the same state as most of our relatives, we are still so thankful that our relatives make the effort to come visit us, especially for the kids' birthdays. We celebrated Veronica's actual birthday on Wednesday night at TWK, a local restaurant that we've taken a liking to. That Saturday we had her birthday party at a local movie theater. We were able to rent out a theater all to ourselves and show the new DC Super Hero Girls movie. We kept the numbers a bit smaller this year, and Veronica has decided she actually prefers that to larger parties. I completely agree. I ordered a Wonder Woman pull-apart cake and it came out quite nicely. After the kids' party, we invited a few friends over to the house for some ribs and grown-up drinks. Thanks again to Gramps, Grandmom and Ninong for coming and helping out!
