Hi guys,
Today we introduced the "ob" word family. Max was quick to use every letter to make many "ob" words. We also practiced writing the names of some insects. Max was very focused and took his time completing his activity. Also, our first butterfly emerged today from its chrysalis. Max is super excited!

Max: (walking around in my house slippers) You can't tell me what to do.

Me: Oh, really? Why not?

Max: (high pitched voice) Because I'm the mommy!

Me: So you're the mommy and I'm the kid?

Max: Yeah!

Me: Great! Then go make me dinner...

Max: (giggles)

Me: And make my lunch for tomorrow...then do the dishes...

Max: (laughing out loud)

Me: And wash all the laundry, then fold it all....and wipe my butt!

Max: (rolling on the floor laughing)

Me: (not laughing at all)

A Conversation with Veronica

V: "Mommy, can we watch TV?"

Me: *sigh* "Well, hello to you ,too. You know, I think that 90% of the things you say to me are you asking for something."

V: "Huh...well, not 90%.....maybe...more like...89%."

Subject: Today in pre-k

Hi guys,
Today we learned about bees. We discussed the importance of bees, flowers and pollination. After that the kids sat in some pollen (baby powder) and flew around the classroom pollinating flowers. We then tasted honey and painted the start of our paper plate bees.

April 2017

April was jam-packed with activity, even if you don't include Ninong's visit!
April brought the Kid's Corner fundraiser, to which Ninong donated a pair of ticket to K&I (thanks, Ninong!) I went to a conference in Philadelphia to present a research paper, the kids went to IP (Filipino School), I took some photos and videos of Veronica in her gymnastics class at Kids' Corner, another IP class (this time with Filipino games as the focus!).

Ninong's Visit: Easter, Cape Cod, Legoland, and King & I

While The King & I National Tour was in Boston for two weeks in April, we had the added bonus of having Ninong stay with us for the duration. We had great fun with Ninong. So much fun that I had to divide the photos into multiple albums.

Click here for the first album, which includes Easter with Ninong and Tito Erik. We had Easter baskets, egg coloring, an egg hunt, and had a nice brunch before Ninong had to head to his 2 shows that day. There are photos and videos, particularly of the egg hunt! This album also includes Ninong taking the kids, separately, for their own special day at Legoland.

Click here for the second album, which includes our visit to Cape Cod with the cast of The King & I. The little boy who understudies the part of Anna's son is from Cape Cod. His family has a fantastic house steps from the beach with a heated pool and fire pit. The kids were in heaven.

Click here for the third album, which includes our viewing of The King & I with our friends, the Buddes. Ninong was great, of course! The end of the album also shows the Lego Millenium Falcon that Tito Erik and Ninong bought us. So much fun!

Bodhi's Ice Skating 7th Birthday Party, 19Apr2017

Veronica was invited to an ice skating birthday party in mid-April. Veronica does not know how to skate, but she had a wonderful time. She has known Bodhi since kindergarten, when they were in the same class.

March 2017

March brought dentist appointments, haircuts (and shampoos), popcorn making, dabbing, monkey bread, IP Iskwelahang Pilipino), a friend's birthday, and Skyping with Ninong.
