The framers made quick work of putting up the frame of the addition.
It took them about 3 days to put up most of the frame.
I'm sure our neighbors loved this view.

The new standing seam roof. The snow slides right off!
Adrian and I were pretty tired of sleeping in the great room. It was fun in the beginning, but after 4 months it was getting old. We moved into the master bedroom as soon as we could. We still haven't painted anything!
Veronica enjoying the view from the windows of the snow encrusted branches outside
To continue to allow some natural light into the family room, Adrian had the contractors convert the old skylight into a clear floor we could walk over. There is a skylight right above it in the addition. The whole thing is pretty cool. Here the kids are enjoying the view from the addition of the family room below.
Here is the view looking up from the family room, into the addition, all the way up to the new skylight.
We're still not quite done with the addition, but to view all the photos of the progress so far, click here.
