I'm finally getting to post the photos from Christmas. Better late than never! Veronica is currently attending Iskwelahang Pilipino (Filipino School), also known as "IP", every other Sunday afternoon. She really enjoys it and I love that she's learning about Filipino culture and language. Last December was the IP Christmas Party and we all had a great time. Each of the classes sang on stage, followed by a massive Filipino meal (of course!). Veronica's class, being the youngest, was told to wear white so they looked like angels. Here are Veronica and some of her classmates right after they received their "halos".
This is a photo of the four of us before the show.
Veronica admiring her parol. All of the kids in her class hand made their own parols and they had a Parade of Parols all over the auditorium before the show.
And here is a video of her class singing and signing Silent Night in English, then Tagalog. Actually, it was the 2 youngest classes combined, so the ages ranged from 3 to 8! She's one of the youngest ones (you can see one of the other 3-year-olds wandering around behind her), but she did a great job. She was really into it in the beginning, but then lost interest during the Tagalog version.
And the evening ended perfectly with a massive Filipino meal and pretty falling snow as we left the building.
All photos of the evening can be found by clicking here.
