Pics with Ninong

Ninong, Tito Erik and Charlie came for a visit last November. They babysat an entire weekend so that Adrian and I could go to a wedding in San Francisco. We had a great time, but I think the kids had an even better time. Thank you, Ninong and Tito Erik and Charlie!

Max Daycare Photo: Alphabet Collage

Hello Parents,

Today we had the children make alphabet collages! First we spread glue all over the paper so that the letters can stick. Then we gave each child a couple of them to stick on the glue. This activity promotes fine motor skills and hand eye coordination!

Thanks,
Infant Two Team

Hello Parents,

Here are pictures of yesterday's magic mold activity. We gave the children stencils and plastic knifes to mold and cut with. This activity worked  to help fine motor development.

Thanks,

Penny's 4th Birthday Party

Halloween 2013: A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away

We (Patricia and Adrian) were very excited for Halloween last October because Veronica and Max were dressing up as Princess Leia and R2D2 from Star Wars. They were adorable. Our town has an annual Halloween parade, then all of the stores in the town center give out candy to the trick-or-treaters. After that there is a Halloween party at Town Hall with live music, pumpkin decorating, games and face painting. All in all, it's a great day every year, made even better if the weather cooperates! Last Halloween the weather was fantastic and we all had a great time. Here are a few photos.

Princess Leia is ready for some candy!

"Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope."

Max says, "Just pretend my stroller is an X-Wing."

Luckily, Max has yet to learn about candy.

The force is strong in this one.

Pumpkin Patch & Raking Leaves, October 2013

Here are a few lovely fall photos from last October. We visited a local church selling pumpkins, and Veronica and Max decided to "help" Daddy with the leaf raking.

A lovely warm day for a visit to the pumpkin patch

Seriously adorable.

I love the expression on Max's face here

We get a lot of leaves every fall.

Max and Veronica "helping" Daddy by playing in the leaf pile.

Max was a bit skeptical about the leaves. Until they all started throwing them around!

Throwing leaves on Daddy is the funniest thing ever!

Slow cooker sinigang

Decided to try slow cooker sinigang today. Came home to the most wonderful smells. Slow cookers really are a working parent's best friend. And I can make Filipino food in it! Next up? Nilaga/bulalo.

Hello Parents,

Today we had a lot of fun dancing to music and playing outside in the playground! The children danced with their friends and teachers. Outside we played with hula hoops and climbed up the climbing structures.

Marblehead, October 2013

The weekend of Columbus Day last year, Gramps came for a visit. We went apple picking with him, as I blogged about in this post you can see by clicking here. We also took a day trip to Marblehead, a lovely seaside town about a half hour drive away from us. As you will see from the following photos, Gramps is a great photographer. He took fabulous photos of our day trip.

Another great family photo by Gramps

Another great shot of the water and the boats

We enjoy going to this restaurant right on the water. There was a large boat being taken out of the water for the winter while we were there.
