Ho Ho Ho! I hope you all are enjoying the holidays. Here are a few more activities/albums that we have been up to in the last five months.
July began with our annual trip to East Hampton for the week of July 4th. While in the Hamptons, Veronica and I tried Barry's a few times with Jose and Erik. Definitely a great workout! We also visited Jenn and her new house in Bridgehampton. Along with the customary swimming pool, they have a fire pit, vegetable garden, and a batting cage! Max really enjoyed pitching and hitting in it. July also included baseball for Max, and Adrian and Patricia going to see the Middle Aged Dad Jam Band with friends. So much fun! We dropped Veronica off at Wavus Camp, then hung out with my cousin Rob and his family in Maine. Patricia celebrated with her mom friends at the annual Ladies' Night for charity at our local boat club (always a good time, and usually ending up in the pool!), and Veronica began driving lessons. And my lola (grandmother) turned 101 in the Philippines! Here is the link to the July photos.
And here is the link to the Wavus Camp photos from this summer. As always, Veronica had a fantastic time at camp.
In August, Max played lots of baseball, Veronica was away at camp, and we spent some time with another cousin of mine (from the other side of my family) and his family. They visited from LA and we spent the weekend with them in Newburyport before they explored Boston/Cambridge on their own. It was great for Max to spend some time with his second cousins, though we did miss having Veronica with us. Also, we cooked a seafood fest and Adrian taught Max how to shuck an oyster! After Veronica came back from camp, Jose and Erik took the kids to Italy! It was super generous of them. They spent a week in Rome, then rented a villa just outside of Sienna. Adrian and I spent a couple of days in Sienna, then joined them in the villa. It was a fantastic! The villa was on a working vineyard and olive orchard, and the kids were in the pool or in the hot tub daily. The food in Tuscany is incredible; we were in heaven! We also took day trips to Florence and San Gimignano. A truly amazing vacation! Click here for our photos from Italy! And click here for Jose's photos.
September included the first day of school (Max is in 8th and Veronica is a sophomore in high school), Adrian and Patricia celebrated the Winchester Boat Club 125th Anniversary Gala, Max and Adrian went to a Red Sox game, Max started club basketball season, and Veronica turned 16! She wanted to celebrate with her best friend Caroline, who is 7 days younger. So we and Caroline's parents threw them a big Sweet 16 birthday party at the boat club. The girls did a fantastic job with the decorations and the party music playlists. The girls and their girlfriends danced up a storm! So much so that the staff on first floor said they could see the ceiling shaking! Big thanks to my mom for making both birthday cakes for the girls, which the girls help decorate! In October Max played more basketball, Patricia celebrated a birthday, we went to two Halloween parties (one party's theme was monsters so we went with Sesame Street monsters!), Jose came for a visit, and Veronica played in her high school band concert. Veronica and Patricia also went to a Laufey concert, and we celebrated the 30th Wine & Dine in Boston. Here is a link to October photos, and Jose's photo album, photos from the Laufey concert, and the 30th Wine & Dine.
November included a work trip to Taiwan for Adrian, a Ladies' Night for Patricia, Veronica playing the piccolo in our town's local Veteran's Day parade (it was c-c-cold!), a dance workshop for Veronica, more basketball for Max, and Thanksgiving! Click here to see the photos from November.
