Veronica Daycare Photo: Making Cookies

Hello Families,
Happy Friday! All of the children have been so happy today. It has been a wonderful day in preschool. This morning we had a cooking activity where all of the children got to make their own pumpkin shaped cookie! Everyone used rollers to flatten their cookie dough and got to add flour to smooth over their dough. For snack, we are eating the cookies that we made! Attached you will find pictures of the children during the activity. Be sure to ask them how they they came out!

Hope everyone is having a great day,
Preschool Team

Veronica Daycare Photo: Bean Bag Toss!

Hello Families,
Today has been a great day in preschool. Everyone has been so happy to continue our fall curriculum as well as start a new letter of the week. Today in the block corner we had a bean bag toss. Check out these great pictures. The children loved throwing the bean bags into the basket!
This activity supported their fine motor (picking up the bean bag), gross motor (throwing the bean bag) and social (encouraging their friends to get the bags into the basket) development.

Veronica Daycare Photo: Pumpkin Face!

Hello Parents,

Today while the children were painting a pumpkin, we asked them how their pumpkin felt and gave them some prompts. Such as, "Is it a happy pumpkin or a sad pumpkin." We then asked the children to make a sad, happy, or mad face to show how their pumpkin was feeling! Later we will paste their pictures onto the pumpkin, but while they are drying I will send the pictures of the children's facial expressions! They are great, try to guess what your child's facial expression was!

Best,
Lauren and Aisha

Veronica Daycare Photos: Raking Leaves

Hello Families!
Today we did a lot of activities including leaves. During circle we read a book called, "Leaves are Falling One by One," then during open-play we did leaf rubbings, and glued leaves onto a big tree. Then we went outside to the field and used rakes and wheel barrows to pick up leaves! Such a fun morning, we are enjoying this great fall weather, hope you are too!
Have a great day!

September 2012 Photo Bomb

September was a busy month for us. Ninong (Jose), Tito Erik, and Charlie visited over Labor Day Weekend. We checked out our local farmers' market, spent time at the playground, went to a birthday party, practiced yoga, and took a tour of a local chocolate factory.

Their hotel also had an outdoor pool.
She had a great time in the pools!

Veronica's 3rd Birthday Party

I (finally) uploaded the photos from Veronica's 3rd birthday party. Grandmom and John flew from Houston, and Ninang (Aunt Elyse) flew all the way from Seattle. Lola and Gramps and Ninong (Tito Iboy) drove from DC and NYC, respectively, for Veronica's birthday. Thank you all for coming and for helping make Veronica's birthday filled with family and love. She is a very lucky little girl to have such great relatives. Here are just a few photos from the party.
