July 2021 & Kid-Free Maine Weekend

Here are a few photos from the end of July. Max did some horseback riding for the first time at day camp, and Adrian took us to a Porsche party in Portland, Maine. We also spent some time at the Winchester Boat Club. Then Adrian and I dropped both kids off at sleepaway camp and had a glorious kid-free 10 days, including an amazing weekend in Maine. Lots of oysters, lobster, wine, and beer were consumed. We did some hiking, visited the lighthouse made famous by the Forrest Gump movie, went to the Farnsworth Art Museum, spent Friendship Day with friends who live in Friendship, Maine, and visited the Olson House (made famous by the Andrew Wyeth painting "Christina's World"). It was all utterly idyllic and quaint. And peaceful, so very peaceful.
