After exploring, we headed to our floatplane! The floatplane was manufactured in the 1950s and it was quite loud in there. It took us to Misty Fjords National Monument. The trip was amazing, complete with a water landing and take off! Adrian had his DSLR with him and I can't wait to see his photos.
After we landed in the lake, the pilot asked who wanted to go outside. The other 3 couples were senior citizens, but of course all of the men felt they HAD to go outside. All the women preferred not to risk a cold and wet ride home. I was REALLY worried that Adrian was going to have to dive in and fish one of the older gentlemen out from the water. Luckily, we all remained dry. This is Adrian waving at me while he is standing on one of the pontoons. He was outside first. Whippersnapper.
This is me firmly strapped into my seat belt, with the big side door open to the water. Enough for me!
Go to the album at the link below to watch the video of the take-off!
When we got back to the ship, we picked up the kids and took them to the pool. They loved the pool and the hot tubs kept them warm.
After pool time we met Inca at the Pinnacle Grill, the fanciest restaurant on the ship. We were so lucky to be able to sail with Inca! Veronica decided to order from the adult menu and she demolished her ceaser salad and steak!
